Maxi,
You can buy SD card readers ($30) from Dick Smith's that plug into a standard USB port.

I don't know that any basic PC based cartography software is compatible with Navionics charts anyway!? Also, not sure if it's true but I have heard (horror)stories of people trying to "backup" Navionics cards only to turn them into a useless (expensive) piece of plastic :o. Haven't been game to try it .....let us know how you go. ;)

However, you will want the reader and a blank SD card to allow you to download software updates to your unit from the Lowrance website.

Cheers

I have copied the navionics files off the card with no problem. But it is a case of at own risk. The original card still works fine. However, it is a pointless exercise as there is nothing that you can do with them. I loaded them onto another card but they aren't recognised by my GPS. I have searched the internet and other forums but no one seems to be aware of any program that will display the charts on a pc, unfortunately.

If you do find anything let me know please. It would be a very useful tool.

Cheers
