Hi everyone, have been reading the chats on the ds600x. At the moment I'm in the market for a plotter and sonar/finder, can't go too large as retricted room on console, but around 5" to 6" should fit and I am considering seperate units and something with good pixels. I am lead to believe that 480 minimum is the way to go I also need to fit aerial for vhf which type should I use for maximum safety. Back to sounders and plotters I'm leaning towards Raymarine, lowarance, possible furuno.
I am prepared to pay up to 2k for both units. Do you think I am heading in the right direction. Thanks Ray.

I have a Raymarine A65. Very happy with it. Get the longest aerial you can.

G'day Razoorj,

The Raymarine is excellent stuff.

Lowrance is good too, and quite a bit cheaper. I just fitted an x 107 and a global map 3500, and the client is wrapped in them.

I use the Pacific "Pro" Aerials - 2.4m

If you need any prices, let me know

Cheers

Pete
