Location of GPS and SOunder?

Hi all!

I want to get two separate units:
1 x furuno sounder and 1 x garmin gps

Should I have the gps mounted just above my steering wheel and have the sounder on the passenger side dash or visa versa?

Depends if ya want the decky to tell ya where to go all the time 8-)

GPS needs to be where the driver can see it and put the sounder in a position where the driver can see it also but not neccesarrily in front of the driver.

Where do you have your GPS and sounder lcoated with respect to the boat driver?

Me old mate smelly has returned to us. Thought you would have bought all this gear 6 months ago! Hows the snapper fishing going in ppb?
By the way, the gps goes in the prominent location in front of the driver as it requires more attention while driving, the sounder only needs to be glanced at so keep it to the side, better still have them both in front if room allows...foxy

I spoke to a Haines dealer yesterday and he recommended he sounder be in front of he driver with the sounder to left (passenger side)..
