need help with plotter

Hello,
I have a Lorenz Excalliber 7 colour plotter, which came with the boat.
I have read the manual & getting used to the format.
When i zoom closer to bring up the beacon's etc...somtimes the screen becomes a white grid with the cursor positioning the boat,but no map.
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong ?

Scott, you are zooming in too far

C map only zooms down so far then you loose the map which is normal. The amount you zoom depends on the detail of the map.

Hi Ken,
I don't think so, but.....Just before i press the zoom again,the map is i colour & there is no details like beacons etc...Sometimes ther is sometimes there is'nt.

I think Davo could be onto something in regards to detail of "that" area at the time. Can i get a better c-map of one perticular area ?...at the moment the c-map covers Tweed to Moololabar .I run around the Pin area & thats where i'm having prob's...
