I have bought a finder and my tinnie already has a fitting for one but I am unsure if I should use the one that came with the finder.
It seems loose like it will give with the water pressure of moving along.
My alternate idea was to bolt it through the prongs on the fitting but am unsure how much movement the transducer is suppose to have.
Here are the photos,
Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

You have the bracket upside down. The hinged plastic parts snap together after its screwed to the transom. It's designed to "pop" open if you hit something. There will be no movement when assembled correctly.
The single hole should be at the bottom.
