Howdy

Anyone had any experience with mounting a transducer to an electric motor?

How good is the reading and have you had any turbulence problems?

Cheers

I haven't done it yet though might be giving it a go soon. Will be making a bracket similar to the one in the picture. The transducer should be a little more protected than at the bottom of the motor.

Used to have mine on the bottom of my Minn Kota and had no interference. Didn't use a bracket, just a large hose/pipe clamp.

Its standard operating procedure over here. It is actually the best way to mount one. Nearly zero interference, easy to install, and easy to replace if it goes out. Most all boats here come with one on the trolling motor and one at the drivers console, if not we put them there.
