Theres a few new software updates available at www.hummingbird.com , just in case you havent been there for a few months. I know I hadnt checked since last summer.
The pc program is upgraded, and theres new software for the head units as well. They were supposed to email me when updates came in, but I havent seen an email yet. Did anyone else get emailed?
cheers

I dunno if it's my setup, but the last 2 updates for the Matrix 47 have been crap for me. I run the last update to V2 (2.840) and it's fine, but since they went to V3 I can't get it to hold bottom, the res seems crap, and the double bottom is shocking. I downloaded last weeks update hoping it would be better than 3.080, but it's pretty much the same. I've since backgraded to 2.840.
I've emailed Humminbird, but didn't get much satisfaction.
If anyone else is happily running V3.xxx on their Matrix, I'd love to hear about it.
I haven't tried BLA, might give them a call when I get a free second.
Cheers,
Alan.

25p - I think you're right.
I've got a 37X and upgraded to 3.240. Now get blurring on icons above chart speed = 5.
Haven't been able to check it on the water yet though.
Is the older 2.840 version still available on the website?
I might have to do the same as you. Thanks for the warning.

If you go to www.humminbird.com.au and click on Software Downloads, I'm pretty sure the files there are the last of the V2 updates.

Matrix 97 d/load, I would like to thank you all, after reading this thread and with the the unit not reading all of the detail in my Navionics Gold card I decided I had nothing to lose and go with the current update using the MMC/SD slot and it worked. Now seeing all the card detail and it added a new heading to part of the menu and changed something with the sounder too. After setting the unit back to "Defaults setting" as instructed then powering down , powered up with the SD/update in the slot for successful update.
P/S Backup your Way-points first as I did lose mine but no problem as they where in HumminPC, D/load to SD card and and into MMC/SD slot power-up and there they are back again. The main Humminbird D/load went straight from the desktop into the SD card to the 97 unit, no prob
Cheers again
