Has anybody bought a trolling motor from USA? It should be straightforward, they are all 12v. I got such a good deal on my sounder and gps, that Id import again.

Im looking at the autopilot 55lbs riptide. I see them on amazon for us599, but they dont ship overseas. This model sells for au1375 in BCF.

Anybody know a good dealer I can buy off for a similar price?

thanks
Andrew

Looks like postage is too high. Minn kota is us600 plus us400 post! Its not like sounders and gps where you pay 40 postage.....might as well buy local for the warranty. There goes another good idea.

Why buy one form the US when you can get them here for around $1250. Boat show special from most dealers.
I bought one today for around that price 55lbs riptide AP Bow mount.

Does any know a good Welder that can weld a plate on for me ASAP

Remember in the Northern hemisphere the props spin Anti-clockwise.
This could be a major problem here in the Sothern hemisphere. I guess you could just revese the battery polarity.

Who did the show special? Was it Sundown? They offered me a similar deal at T and T show.

I'm currently awaiting a quote from a US dealer for an 80lb and 101lb engine mount Minn Kota inc shipping.

Have yet to price these models locally but suspect them to be $1500 - $2000 ?

I've tracked down 4 or 5 different sites in the states that do electronics, minn kota's etc. Love this shopping on-line stuff !!

Have a Furuno 4100 arriving any day now. Approx $260 to my door w/o transducer as I still have the previous.

Cheers
Craigie.

watch out for customs, a few years ago i bought a second hand riptide 45lb thrust. When it landed here i had to pay a customs clearing agent to get it through. ended up i could have bought a new one here for the same price

cheers
