Back from the freshwater, and fairly quite arvo all round buy all, only tried two dams, and the buggers were very timid, only manage 1 for the arvo. Bloody thing was still breathing 2 hours after it was caught.
Back tomorrow.

Jeezy Jalapeno!

If there's one thing 'bout fishing I DO know, it's how to catch them buggers!

Wouldn't mind bagging a few myself, as it goes.

Someone tell me where them evil abominations are at (preferably driving distance of the Tweed) and I'll tell you all you ever wanted to know about hooking up to 'em.

And then some.

Oh, and I'll pass on some smutty limericks too ;D

Cheers,

R

I think it is illegal to use carp for bait ? ???

Yeah, they are declared as a noxious fish and it is illegal to have them live in your possession.

Render, go to the Logan River around Beaudesert, you'll find quite a few averaging a couple of kilos. Do us all a favour and get rid of as many as you can. Just watch out for the bullrouts!

If you do catch any carp in Queensland don't put them back in the water. It's illegal to put them back, alive or dead and there's a HUGE fine if you're caught doing it. You're supposed to kill them and chuck them up the bank.... best place for 'em too I reacon.

just to adjust the previous ,( just chuck um up ther bank.) the department of fisheries prefer you to drop them in a rubbish bin because if they have row in them it can still hatch years after death of the fish.
very tuff eggs :-/

errr....I think someone has been pulling your leg about that one. That story has been around for quite a long time, but fortunately its not true.
