With this rain today, I'd say it'll be gin clear on high up at Caloundra. Be keen to know how you go tho Jeremy and Dan!
My weekend consists of farewell party for a friend tonight, followed by lunchtime beers tomorrow then attending the Lions game tomorrow night, followed by a birthday function after that.....if i'm able to open my eyes and mouth on Sunday, i'll be a couch potato hopefully...daydreaming of flying a kite in the blustery winds they've forecast.

Jeremy, what would I expect to catch if I fished the mouth (inside the bar)?

I have thought of sitting there in the boat with a floating pillie out the back during a runout tide. Is there any structure there (other than the mainland).

It's just not fair.

I had last week off and planned a heap of fishing, but ended up spending the time on trailer maintenance. (Had you noticed my bearing threads??)

So this was going to be the big weekend to get out there...

Next Saturday I am doing a system upgrade, so Saturday is out next week as well!!

Geeze.

I just hope next weekends Saturday night or Sunday morning is the go.

well, struggled to get enough livies. Only a few herring anf bony bream. Had a fish just after first light near the bar, but the crabs were a problem. Went a bit further up near Halls Bay for another hour or so, then up Coochin Ck for a look.

Didn't land a fish. Didn't see you Daniel or Mick. Did you get out?

nothing to get excited about - just the little yellow sand crabs you see around the beaches. Still wouldn't hurt to try after the rain.
