seaforth barra trip

Gonna head up to Seaforth (near Mackay) in a few weeks to hopefully catch my first barra. Anyone been up that way as I would appreciate tips on where to wet a line in the area.

Can't help out specifically, but my cousin owns a holiday house at Seaforth, and he is always talking about Proserpine River for Salty Barra and the dam for freshies.
Just watch out for big lizards in the salt.

if i were you i would try the edge of thr sand bar in front of the boat ramp live bait or float out some nice big fresh prawns i do fairly well there sorry i cant make it this year so good luck :-X

Hi Jelly, do you fish the sand bar in front of the boat ramp at night - imagine it could be pretty busy during the day.
