Hey guys.

Gonna spend some time down at Woodgate in there near future. Does anyone have any marks they wouldn’t mind parting with, not too far off shore.

(pm if you want)

as you can see, both look like a high tide option is best.

Good luck, and look forward to your report.

zedjack33, I have been to woodgate numerous times youwill enjoy. The boat ramp infront of the pub can be a real mongrel if there is a wave on it. I have often given the ramp a miss and driven onto the beach a few hundred metres down to the south and done a beach launch. Tha ramp will be slippery as buggery on the low tide, nearly impossible to get traction if retrieving a bigger boat and can be even harder to get her on the trailer with the waves breaking on the lower part of the ramp. The best options is this case is to beach launch retrieve if possible. I have even had to skull drag my boat up the ramp by snatch strap away from waves and the slippery timber slats then winch her on the trailer.Enjoy.

a quick drive to walkers point 5 mins up the road and there is a two lane boat ramp which is on the burrum that looks a better than those ones

But I must admit he is right this time ;D ;D

Take the trip to Walkers Point - down through the National Park and use the ramp in the Burrum River, 2 lane concrete, all tides.

There is also a great little whole just out from the ramp, about halfway straight accross to the first sand bar/island straight out from the ramp.
