FORECAST FOR MORETON BAYA strong wind warning is current. A gale warning has
been issued.
Wednesday until midnight: SE/E winds 15/20 knots, increasing to 20/30 knots
this evening. Seas rising to 1.5 metres. Some showers.
Thursday: SE winds 25/30 knots, increasing to 30/35 knots during the afternoon.
Seas to 1.5 metres. Showers, rain developing.
Friday: SE winds 25/35 knots.
Saturday: E/SE winds easing to 20/30 knots.

DOUBLE ISLAND POINT TO COOLANGATTAA strong wind warning is current. A gale
warning has been issued.
Wednesday until midnight: SE winds 20/25 knots, increasing to 25/30 knots this
evening. Seas 3 metres. An increasing SE to E swell. Showers.
Thursday: SE winds 25/33 knots. Winds increasing to 34/40 knots north of Cape
Moreton during the morning, extending elsewhere during the afternoon. Seas to
3.5 metres on a 3.5 metre E/SE swell. Dangerous bar conditions. Scattered
showers. Rain developing from the north.
Friday: SE winds 30/40 knots.
Saturday: E/SE winds 30/35 knots, easing 20/30 knots during the day.

that's a whiting wind my friend,
my frozen mackeral stocks have reached the critical level & I now must leave the cave & begin hunting again.
I am planning a south straddie family picnic & fish-picking day saturday
there's every chance decent tailor & their silver friends will be inside too in the daylight
what are u & yours doin' ?

Saturday until midnight: SW/SE winds 25/33 knots grading to 35/45 knots south
of Maroochydore and reaching 45/50 knots offshore south of Maroochydore. Winds
easing to 25/35 knots from the north tonight. Seas and SE/E swell reaching 5 to
6 metres south of Maroochydore and 2 to 3 metres in the far north. Showers.
Sunday: SW/SE winds 20/25 knots in the north grading to 25/35 knots south of
Maroochydore. Winds easing to 15/25 knots throughout during the afternoon. Seas
2 to 3 metres decreasing to about 1.7 metres late in the day. S/SE swells
decreasing to 2 to 3 metres. Showers.
Monday: SE/NE winds 15/20 knots decreasing to 10/15 knots.
Tuesday: NE/NW winds 10/15 knots.
it's safe to say we are only cleaning gear this weekend.

Had a look at the bar this arvo, just out of interest, from the tower you could see the swell over south wall coming onto the beach.
Once the wind stops there will still be a hell of a swell to come in.
I think we will be lucky to get out at all next week.
