mornington island help needed

heading to birri in may for a few days :D :D
going with a mate who has his own plane,
three of us are going & we are going to fly to mackay/cairns/karumba/biri (i think)
should be a lot of fun ;D ;D
question is to anyone that's been should i take my own gear or just use & pay for the resorts gear
any replies appreciated

spent 4 years on M.I. the resort has great gear suited to the fishing up there on the other hand it is always nice to have your own gear. Got any spare seats?

what sort of fishing should i expect late may? moon should be ok
really looking forward to the trip
have done several swains trips a couple of blokes on one of those trips raved about biri
