Hi all

This will hopefully be the first of an annual trip and have absolutely no idea as to where to go. The wife and kids will be tagging along (to get my beers).

We have secured a holiday house which is seconds to the boat ramp (apparently).

Half Tanked (525 Stacer Cuddy) will be in service and wanting to be blooded.

Any advise would be appreciated.

The crab pots will be coming along with us also.

Cheers

Mark.

I can recommend the Sunday morning brekky at Goodys at Toogoom ;D ;D
Slip around to the artificial reef at Woodgate is another close option.

Cheers & Beers

Thanks Scott,

Just had a few GPS spots thrown at me. We will see how they go.

There doesn't appear to be anything overly close to Camp Madman though.

Ah well thems the breaks.

Keep em coming.

Cheers

Out in the big stuff, try 8 mile reef, its about 8 mile out of Burrum Heads. ;D
Isis river is worth a look.
They sell a little book up there in the tackle shops, costs about 3 bucks, has all the spots and GPS marks, got mine at the big tackle shop towards the western end of the esplanade, Hervey Bay.

Waypoint WGARTI S25.09123 E152.57372
That should put you close

Waypoint 8MILE S25.14850 E152.68450
That should get you near the 8mile

Waypoint Swirls S25.17290 E152.58947
Try this one too, straight off the ramp at Walkers Point

Also try what they call the black bank

Stand at the ramp at Burrum and look straight at Woodgate, (woodgate not Walkers Point) see that mud bank over there just inside the mouth of the river, thats it.

Should be good prawns around and head upstream for a crab or too
