Salmon Season

Just a bit of an update from the West. We've had one of our biggest salmon runs through the metropolitan area in many many years. Things have started to quieten down now, but shouldn't be long before the back run starts. There has been some awesome light tackle and fly action, along with bait feeding frenzies, sharks galore and heaps of salmon getting airbourne. Heres a happy snap of a decent sized salmon taken on 4kg and released, you can see Perth City just in the background if you look hard enough. :)

We caught lots on surface skirts and divers. Some people have been catching them off the bottom the numbers have been so thick.
