I did a spearfishing trip during the last week of may. I was only in the water for about 10 mins, when a school of about a dozen Broad Bar Mackeral swam past of which one came close to spear.Thinking if the water was warm enough for Broadies there might be a few spanish around still off Brolin Rocks. So i went down the next morning. Bloody freezing. There was bait rippling on the surface everywhere.3rd cast on a 65gm raider which i was skipping along the surface, it disapeared in a huge surface explosion,20 mins later i had a 22.5kilo spanish mackeral lying on the rocks.

Top spaniard there Bigenuff, sounds like Brolin Rocks is a top LBG spot.

Just hope rumors aren't true & fishing isn'tbanned due to Marine Parks extensions.
