You guys have a different type of snapper fishing over there it seems?
i hear of blokes 'surf casting' from the rocks, and catching big Reds, dont see that in queensland ;D

I've heard of the place called 'Ranfurly Banks' which fires, that seems a bit more like the snapper fishing we get up here.
I'm heading over to 'russell' north of auckland in december to go 2 a mates place, chase some kingies and snapper over there for sure ;)

Lots of Big Reds to be had in the Bay of Islands (Russel) and plenty of Kings as well at that time of the year.
