A Big Hello from The Hooded Warriors. We are a small fishing team based near Ipswich and chasing other members in our area to get groups together to fish as often as possible where ever the tide may take us.
We have been far and wide including, Lake Monduran and Awoonga chasing Bass and Barra, and we caught a few biggins - see photos. We do the locals Wivenhoe, Someset as well but as we all know they are now just ponds with a few Yellow Belly in them. We also throw a line in down on the Gravel Patch, Diamond Reef and the 26 fathoms on the Gold Coast from time to time. Have caught great feeds of Tailor, Snapper, Rock Cod and a Huge school of Yellow Fin tuna - see our efforts from the photos. If you are looking for somewhere great for a day trip during the week and don't have your own boat, I would recommend the Maroochy River. Hired a boat down there from Swan Boat Hire and had an excellent day catching Estuary Cod, Trevally, Flathead and Bream - a special shout out to Swan Boat Hire for the great tips and friendly service - good onya guys!
