Re-sizing

I know this topic gets repeated an awful lot, but can someone please point me in the direction of the software (or what is needed to do) to adjust photo sizes for images that are above 100kb. How do some people manage to post up large photos that are high in detail?

This isn't the way that ausfish suggests and there's probably easier but- Go to paint, click on image, then skew/stretch. If you make it about 30% both ways it is generally enough to get them under 100. If not just skew a little more and "save image as". This method does not crop your photos. Hope that helps.
