This site regularily drops out on me - is it my PC or do others experience this eg logged on this morning, started a thread, read a couple of others and bingo could not get ausfish back for love or money. Finally got back in this afternoon checked a reply to my thread and when I tried to post same thing - this time viewed 1 page before bombing out. Other sites I have no problems with. Sometimes a complete reboot works but other times doesn't help. Driving me nuts, any ideas :-? :-?

Having some server issues at the moment, it is being worked on but is taking abit longer than expected due to holidays, etc.
An upgrade is being done, hopefully in the next few days so this will also sort out some speed issues as well.

I've sat down and had a good think and realise that more often than not it is when I enter the site via the email reply for posted topics. If I go to the ausfish site first I seem to be able to stay on longer. Often forget there is somebody at the other end trying to keep it all tied together, though was just trying to see if anyon else was having similar issues as I suspect my PC can play up. I did a check and feel some of the connections may be a bit loose so have ensured they stay put and see if that helps from my end.
Have a happy New Year.
Cheers Sam

Juicy, I know Steve said he had server probs but I thought I would check everything my end as well, found the phone line connection broke the connection very easily by just touching it, will replace it asap but in the meantime some rubber bands have come into play.

Seems we all had the same problem. have a look at the time posts were made, and not made, and we were all offline at the same time, so server must be down, as confirmed by steve. Upgrades are worth it tho.....
Steve,
maybe a sign saying 'server down temporarliy' could be used like some other websites use?

If the server is down you would not be able to get to the site to see any page. So it would be impossible to have a page saying "server down temporarliy"
If just the chat boards are off line then I do that but not possible if the server is down.

It seems to always go down around 12 midnight.
