View Full Version : Problem With Google Redirecting

Hope someone can set me in the right direction as I am having problems with Google.

What is happening is that I am using IE6 to do a search. The search results are displaying fine yet when I click on the link it redirects to another search engine. For example I just did a search on Brisbane and went to click on the Brisbane City Councel link to go to http://www.brisbane.qld. gov.au. Instead of going to that site it redirected to http://romemaster.com/brisbane.cfm?nft=1&t=4&p=4

It seems like an adware problem however Ad-Aware, Spybot and Stopzilla haven't picked anything up. I also use the latest MacAfee Security Suite.

Here is another twist - I also have Firefox and it works fine so it must be a Microsoft issue.

This has been going on for a week or so.

Any advice thanks.

If you have not run your anti-malware and anti-spyware utilities in Safe Mode please do so.

Also check your Startup tab for malicious entries.
