Hi Folks,
I've been lurking here for a few weeks now while researching a new fish finder. The info I've found has been extremely helpful so I thought I'd sign up and try and contribute something back.
I'm located in Canberra and mainly chase trout in the Alpine lakes but keen to do some more saltwater trips - just had two weeks up at Forster over Christmas mainly fishing the estuaries for bream and flathead.
I own a 4.8M Bermuda runabout and love racking up the engine hours [smiley=smiley.gif]. As my two kids move into their teenage years, I'm finding that boating trips are a great way to stay connected with them.
Anyway, I've just bought a Furuno FCV-620 to replace the ancient Humminbird sounder in the boat. I'm planning to interface it with my handheld Garmin eMap GPS. I'm thinking about photographing and documenting the whole installation procedure and posting it in the Electronics forum here. Interested in your opinions as to whether this would be a worthwhile post.
Cheers
