Has anybody camped & fished Sundown nat park?
We're thinking of going there for a trip. Can you put a small tinny in, if not a canoe? Is the fishing any good?
What facilities are there for families?

Alot of Qs I know but we don't know much about it. :)
TIA

I am hoping to get out to the Sundown NP in the near future myself. Keep an eye out for future editions of Bush 'N Beach.

The NP Broadwater camping area is on the banks of the Severn River and the info I have is that you could easily launch a small tinney or canoe.

It has caravan access, showers, toilets, barbecues with wood supplied. The park is a good one for hiking.

You can fish but I'm not sure what is available.

The camp is self registration.

To get more info call the Ranger on 02 6737 5235 or the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service at Toowoomba on 07 4639 4599.

;) My Brother in law went there last year, not really tinny country, maybe a canoe. They didn't catch a fish, not even a hit! I don't think it's really what you would call a fantastic fishing location. Mostly swimming holes, and mild rapids! Good luck! Katrina
