Does anyone have a recipe for cuts? When we head out for a couple of days my mate brings a premix of metho and antiseptic. Stings like mad but seems to do the trick.Other people I've talked to reckon antiseptics kill the bad germs aswell as the good healing ones and you are just better off cleaning the wounds with soap and water.Any camper/fisho doctors know about this?

Hi Luke,
All I use is metho and detol. About a 50-50 mix. Seems to work well. You can put a bit of baby oil in it as well but I recon this makes it a bit greasy. The experts say that good old warm soapy water is stil one of the best cleaners around

The best thing I have found to work is 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil, a First Aid Kit in a Bottle.

You can buy it online at http://www.thursdayplantation.com they also have a great natural insect repellant (no DEET).

Thanks Dazza and Steve,
Ah the good old tea tree oil-one of those good natural products with 101 uses. We use it on the dogs and horses-mainly flyblown ears and works like magic. Aloe is another of those 101 healing naturals. Amazing what medicinal herbs grow in the back yard.I'll check out that site Steve. ;D
Cheers Luke
