Mate of mine mentioned a small place south of Poona I think it started with B. Looked a good spot to base for the many creeks etc in the area. Anyone help.

There is no place south but Boonooroo is just north. Boonooroo is on the Tuan Creek system and that whole area is a maze of creeks both north and south. In addition you are very close to Fraser Island and the creek system over there is also fantastic. All you need is a tinnie to access a great area for fishing.

I have stayed at the Boonooroo Caravan Park and can highly recommend it. As a matter of fact i was so impressed with it I wrote an article for Bush 'N Beach on the park and the fishing around there. If you go tell them I sent you.

Check it out I am sure you will be happy with the area.
