Camping with dogs

I live on the gold coast and was wondering if someone could help me with camping and fishing destinations with my dogs. Would prefer 2-3hr drive in any direction from the gold coast.Any dam, river or private property. Any help would be greately appreciated.

You could try Hastings Point Holiday Village part of the Tweed Coast. It is reasonably close and on the beach. I have not stayed there but beleive it is ok. I am going to 1770 which is around 5hrs North of Brisbane for a look see with my dog as I am just learning the ropes also.

Thankyou for your reply. We have been to 1770 and camped at Captain Cook Caravan Park, they allow dogs in the off season.(I think) we were'nt allowed to take them at Christmas time 2 years ago or in busy periods. You should have heaps of fun up there. Hope it is bitumen road all the way now. Let us know how you go up there.

Check out the book dogs on holiday. I think that u can buy it on the net. I picked mine up at a fourbie show and have used it many times to plan a trip with the crew.
