A few of the guys from the Ausfish team planned a weekend at Baffle Creek (nth of Bundaberg). I just happened upon a brochure for a new camp stay right on the creek.
We decided to give it a shot. What a great spot. Tent sites, tents for hire, cabins & one of the best camp kitchens I've seen since working on stations out west. Clean toilets & hot showers too. Cost us $11/night each for the cabins~! ;D
There's a boat ramp right on the side creek where you can launch smaller boats (we put in a 4.3m no worries).
There's also a farm dam with barra stocked into it. The biggest are around 60 cm now. 8)There's also at least 1 yellowbelly in there too, cause I caught one on fly, much to the bafflement of the owner who recons theres never been any put it there. :P

Anyway, our fearless leader Steve has got a few pics of the place on his digital camera, I'm sure he'll post em up for yas shortly. ;)

Cheers,

Fitzy..

Well Fitzy, now that the spot has been posted and approved. Looks like a trip is in order. :D 8)

I had a look at The Baffle from the southern side last year on a scouting trip. Didn't even take a rod. Looks the goods for a few days relaxing, and even having a quite ale.

If you are planning another trip there, be sure to give us a buzz to see what the plans are. ;)
