Hoping that someone might be able to advise me........

I have a portable gas stove. The copper tubing between the inlet point and the first burner has been damaged and needs to be replaced ie its in the area underneath the stove itself. It ought not be too difficult to replace the this piece, its about 3ml in diameter and about 10cm long, but I figure it is potentially dangerous and in any event beyond me and a soldering iron.

Apart from this the stove is fine and while I could buy another one it seems a waste just to throw it in the bin. My local camping store wasn't able to assist. I live in Brisbane and I am looking for contact details of a business or someone who could repair it.

thanks

I would imagine that any gasfitter would be able to replace that tube for you. Check out the yellow pages for someone in your area.

Cheers.

Argo,
Sounds like I might have the part you are looking for...free! What brand of stove is it?

BigG,

Sounds like a good deal!

Its is a "Cougar" two burner stove and the model is a "Phoenix".

Derek,

Not yet....waiting on a reply to my last post from BigG.

Haven't needed the stove so was just waiting until I came upon a gasfitter.

Like derek said, any gas fitter and even most plumbers will be able to braze that tube back on, it should take them 5 minutes so i dont see it costing more than a couple of bucks.
