Hi All

I saw these at the Camping and Caravan Show. Made in Victoria of spun steel. They looked pretty good to me.

Anyone got any info on them or used them at all.

I don't have any pics but if you do a search on the net for Hillbilly Camp Ovens you will find some pics. Seems Hillbilly don't have their own web site as yet.

Hi, We just bought a mobile home. With all the sundry equip is a Hillbilly oven, BBQ etc. Never been used. Tried their www and only got an ad for ##### enlargement. Not knowing the standard size, didn't know if that was needed. Spoke to them by phone. Had a laugh at how that all happened. Seems like good gear. The BBQ slides over a vertical 1/2" pipe and the height is adjusted with ease. Seems very stable and simple. Will advise after trying it all. Sir Noelus.

Derek,

They went on hol's & didn't pay the bill for web site. 'pears site must remain vacant for a month after kicking someone off it. The other ##### crew jumped on the site illegally and Hillbilly could not use it. They even used Hillbilly's name. No problem with their new site address as you show it. Sir Noelus

'morn'n Derek, As promised will advise what I know of Hill Billy gear. Used some of it last week, the camp oven is great, so much lighter to carry than cast iron it's not funny, and it does the same job. Also easy to clean. Their plate BBQ is also good. Adjustable height on a piece of pipe, it can be wherever you want it, attatched to a gas bottle, on a gas ring, or over the fire. (It is a low pressure burner similar to natural gas burners and comes with a hose that will only attach to a regulater.) If the pipe is put in the ground by the camp fire, there are also adjustable height hooked arms that enable you to hang the billy or camp oven over the fire and just swing them away from the heat to lift lids etc. You don't have to lift them off the arms until finished with. Sir Noelus.
