Hi Billy
Have never insured camping equipment before but this is one place you can get camping equipment insurance. You can even get a quote through email.

There are several Insurance companies that offer accidental damage/ loss cover for contents australia wide as part of their house & contents insurance and most are not restricted to camping gear only nor are they limited to $500 pedr item unless specified.
Call a Broker in your area and they should be able to provide you with some options.

Hi
Try Zurrick insurance
I have been with them 15 years, had a few claims, no problems
I have no connection with this company (apart from house insurance)

check a post in general fishing i'll kick it up it's called insured or not
i have gone down this very road after finding out that my insurance company only covered the gear inside the house !!
at the moment i change to c g u as they had policys that covered this very thing but you do pay for what you get . i have $7,000.00 of personal gear be it camping or fishing or both covered in Australia or overseas

G'day Billy.
I'm with RACV (Vic) for house and contents and there was another section where you could insure non-specified items to the value of $3000 when travelling etc.
The additional cost was $114 per year - good value I reckon!
Cheers, Slates
