I was thinking of camping near the top of south straddie over the easter long weekend (maybe around the bedroom area). Anyone know if it is normally packed at easter?

Can you camp further north or do you have to stay near the facilities there?

Stanger,My family and I went to camp in that general area about four or five years ago and came back home about four hours later.Lucky I live near our local boat ramp.We took the camping gear out of the boat and went back down the next day to have a look and a bit of a fish.Boats were parked on top of each other, not for me.The other thing is you would have to be lucky to get a car and trailer parking spot.Plenty of vehicles got a parking ticket for not being parked in the proper areas. Also there were cars with out trailers parked in trailer parking areas with tickets.I stay at home over Easter now.

I agree with bj... I try to stay at home over Easter now days. No matter where you go, you can guarantee that it's going to be packed.
