There are some excelent spots around Carnarvon. Some interesting spots about 100kms before carnarvon - one is called Gladestone - $5 per night. A bit rought be we take our 18ft caravan there. Becareful. Do NOT go if it has rained - bogged for sure. 80 east is a great river location - rocky pool - good for a couple of nights. 100km north is the Blowholes and a top spot 3 kms to the left. A magic lagoon. Great for snorleing. Well worth a look. NO WATER _ NO SHOP. We are heading 100 kms north of the blowholes to The Bluff. If is located on Quabba station. Gets corrogated but you should get through as long as it hasn'e rained as the road gets cut up quickly. The Bluff cost $3 per night. Has a VERY basic shop. NO WATER. From there you can head to Gnarloo.NO WATER. A wonderful spot - very pretty BUT very expensive - caravan park is extremely overprised - soemthing kile $15 per person. Gets expensive for a family of 4.
Great fishing from the cliffs from the blowholes to the bluff.
