I think the type of people that are on these sites have nothing to worry about with retirement. (and people do worry.) A person who has worked hard all their life, and dosnt have any hobbies or skills outside work, (such as one of one of my former bosses), thinks - what am I going to do now ? The type of people on here, will probably be busier in retirement, than in their working life. With what I have learnt, I know I will not be bored. There is -- fishing -(fresh and salt--for food) hunting -(bunnies, deer,- for food) and shooting for feral animal control. I also have a (cheap) gold detector to make my fortune. lol ;D In retirement, all I need is - A good 4wd, a good boat, a nice horse float for my horses, a little low maintenance house (not a 50 bedroom mansion, to try and keep up with the "Toffs"), a couple of good guns for hunting, and a bloody good Vegie garden, and a good tent. Also, the most important --- Good Family and friends. And -- BE HAPPY. What do YOU think ? (P/S-- Teach your kids well.)

It is the guys that love work and hate holidays that need to worry the most and I agree most of the guys on this site would probably prefer holidays to work. Any crazy fishermen don't need to worry until they can't make it to the water, even then some are too busy making lurs at home for their kids or mates to try to get bored.

Most guys worry about not being able to keep up their life style after retirerment, as pension and super do not match wages, not actualy retirering and being bored. I bet many guys on this site would retirer early if felt they could afford it. Like Tomorrow. ;D
