camping / fishing...yellowpatch!

hello all.
Just interested who has camped or spent much time up at yellowpatch? I live in Gladstone and was thinking of heading up soon. Anyone got pics or storys about the place?

When are you looking at heading up JimmyJam? I've been here for 30 something years and still haven't spent a night up there. Always been talking about it, just never been there. Volvo spends a bit of time up around that area, he may be able to help you out. What sort of boat do you have?
My Uncle in Law goes up there a fair bit in their 50' Cruiser. I'll get there one day.

We had a club trip to yellow patch last weekend. Boys caught bugger all.
There has been bundy pro camped up there raping the place.
A month ago you could catch a good feed of whitting on the bar(which is a yellow zone) but there is a loop in the laws that allow the pros the drag a bait net with 1.5 inch mesh around a school and clean them out!!!!

It is a beautiful place to camp and you do a permit.

yeah i know about the permit. Yeah will try and get up there soon...i had some mates that went last weekend and cleaned up on whiting so wouldn't be a bad trip even if you didnt catch anything! ;)
