Anyone camped on the Archer River in through Rokeby Ranger Station north of Coen? - Worth the trip in??

Try the exploreoz website. We did the Cape last year and camped on the Archer just north of Coen but I don't think this is the same place you are referring to. One of the best camps was Somerset ruins right on the beach at the tip. Awesome to wake up, eat a coconut, take out the tinnie, go mudcrabbing, eat oysters and then sleep it all off and do it again the next day!!!! :)

Got to agree with Wardy, Somerset is the place to stay, right on the beach and a picture post card outlook, not to mention the fishing. We didn't stay there but on our next trip we will, it beats the Caravan Park at Seisa. As for the Archer, can't help you there, we only drove through.
