I am looking at purchasing a couple of camp beds in the near future.
I am wondering what sort of camp beds you guys would recommend for a tent my 5 man tent. I already have a swag but after the last Ausfish M&G ::) i have decided that my back would appreciate a bit more cushioning. :D
Let me know what you think.

Used one of the new camp beds the army is using the other week while away - COMFY. Just rolled the swag out and off pushin' out the zzzzz's in no time. I think the mate picked them up from one of those disposal stores. Ally frame - nice and light too.
I'll try and track a name down for you.

Dom howrumate. You r a jealous bugger r'nt u .Did u see that fold up number I had mate at mission pt, of course u did , well that cost $7 at the flea market mate and its the best bunk I've ever had.
There r double ones around so you and the dog can still sleep together but you'll have to buy some double blankets 4 the winter time. ;) ;D

Thanks Dave that would be muchly appreciated. ;)
As for you Mr Grunta did'nt your parents ever tell you.............." If you have'nt got anything nice to say don't say anything at all " ;D
Yes i did see your bed Grunta thats what gave me the idea of picking up some for myself.
And by the way there is no need for double beds as Sam and i sleep as far away from each other as possible when in the tent.
Besides Grunta you can talk, at Mission Point you had Mrs Grunta to care for you the whole weekend, you even got tucked into bed. Maybe you 2 should think of investing in a double bed. :D ;D :D

I have a strecher. Its very easy to put up. You pull it out of the bag, bend the legs around, open it up, put a beam (or whatever) on one end, and its levered at the other.
The whole thing takes less then a minute to put up. I know my description isn't all that good.but if you goto the store and ask about them they will show you...
They are lightweight as well.
Orginally my father got some large "bunk" setup but it was made of steel and far far too heavy (besides he washed the canvas once and they shrunk :-)
however, you still need something between it and you to ward off the cold (i usually have my doona and if its hot its my pillow, if its cold its a blanket :) )
Hope this helps.
