It all depends on what you are going to use it for. There are several places in Caloundra that sell all manner of plastics (Naggs could give you a run down on the different types). One place here wanted $40 for a small piece, went to the other place and got 2 much larger pieces of the same material for $30. I think you are a bit further north than me, and the big green warehouse is not cheap and has few choices.

PS: I do have a piece 20mm thick, 450mm x 750 mm that I bought but changed my mind for it's use, but once again, what will you be using it for as even a piece that size will bend.

Do a search for plastic suppliers around your area and ask for prices, as I said they can vary greatly also depending on what your intended usage is as there might be more suitable plastics available. The place I now go to have a huge range of types.

Bunnings have some if 380mm x510mmx12mm is suitable for $30.

Go to a commercial supplier instead of the likes of Bunnings....at least then they can advise the best plastic for the purpose.

What do you want to use it for ?

Bread board is usually made from Polyethylene or Polypropylene which is unstabilised for UV ...... so no good in the sun .

The best places to buy board are the plastic fabricators or those cut to measure places ...... they should have a good range & know what is suitable for your application.
