Hi all
I know Bill Corton used to run a bar crossing course, however have heard he has retired.
Was wondering if anybody know of someone else that runs a similar course? I'm not overly confident crossing bars and would not mind gaining some more confidence before crossing the South Passage bar.
Thanks
Mark

where are you. tin can bay run a course, quite good.
Hope you find a good course to do ...... bar crossings should never be taken lightly
Nearly 30 years of doing them as a skipper & it still gets the adrenalin going.

Thanks Tracker. I’m at Redland Bay. Tin Can Bay is a bit of a drive but could be forced to make a weekend of it.
Do you have any details of who runs it? Do they do it on Wide Bay bar?

tcb coast guard, can use your own boat on actual bar with cc member on board and big cat on standby. Best to check though, tcb cc on google should tell when next course is. trip time reddy bay to tcb about 3 hours. cheers

If your at Redlands give the Manly sports fishing club or trailer club a ring someone there would be going over the bar regularly and you might be able to meet them there and get shown the way and how and we’re to approach it or may know someone to help you.
