Mid 90s 17ft Bluefin, anybody know anything about older bluefins, materials etc?

Ive seen one that has been fully refurbished.

What Im curious about is, what did they build the hull and transom from? It doesnt look like the thin 1.8mm stuff used by quintrex on there smaller boats. Any ideas on specs? ie plate ally mm, beam etc?

Have heard stories of old dehavillands being made from old air planes from ww2 not sure if thats true tho

Quintrex 17ft 70's had decent thick aluminium nothing like the 14fters but my 17ft quintrex cruise about felt like light grade aluminium not like todays density aluminium maybe im wrong tho

I had a 70's era 16ft dehavilland a full welded model it had similar aluminium to the quintrex it was decent thickness just those size boats felt really light to tow
