gelcoat into finishcoat..?

Ok a question for the styrene affected folk! I am making a new floor hatch for the 565L ...all going well including some anti slip but....I dont have enough finishcoat..flowcoat.....but it doesnt make much sense to buy in the small amount I need ...I do have enough white gelcoat to do the job....and I have wax and styrene....question is can I turn the gelcoat into flowcoat just by adding the wax...and if so what % .....

Yep at 2% I think it was when I did mine

Usually 2% wax is sufficient. I am assuming you aren't using a mould, if you are then you don't need to add anything as the mould excludes air contact and the gelcoat will set.
