Have a alloy braked quintrex trailer turning up next week
and the dealer didn’t have a walkway to look at to judge how well it would work
anyone got a quintrex trailer with the walkway and can offer any feed back or photos ?

it’s the same price if I order one afterwards so no huge drama there just sick of taking socks off in winter when dam fishing.

will have the old trailer for sale when I swap the boat over 3 year old maybe less can’t remember
alloy Unbraked 749kg trailer with multifit rim and spare

Most aluminium trailers have the cross members under the main frame which makes aluminium trailers lower than steel trailers

I specifically made my trailer extra long for the reason of getting your feet wet in winter the water may be 10c here but with the windblowing on cold wet feet it feels -3c

Careful where u place the walkway if u slip and your leg slides down a rusty roller mount bolt it could be pretty nasty event

The "normal" Telwater walk ways are OK, not exactly super wide, but plenty good enough for the average boater to walk on, take w wander around a boat ramp and you will see one.

Covid kinda stoped the walk around the boat ramp atm and river ramps arnt well populated like nice trailers as suburban ramps are
tbh havnt seen one when I’ve been out it’s either small tinnies to larger glass bass boats round here on the dams

if you think it’s functional that’s all that matters

I have the boat latch on my Telwater alloy trailer and drive on / off with no problems.....mind you I did need to adjust the skids and rollers properly.
Have not had wet feet yet at the ramps.

The budget was a bit stretched so I dropped that option off. I fish one up a lot and climbing over the bow with all the electrics didn’t seem appealing

Out of interest what was the boat latch worth as an option?
It was already installed on my package deal.
Surely it couldn't be more than $200 to $250.
I mean seriously there is about $60 on materials.

At $400 they are ripping you off......I might start making these to flog at $300 and still make $100 profit per unit.

Well manufacturer needs to make a profit the the retailer needs to make a profit so doubt anyone’s ripping anyone off
it’s just how $50 in materials turns into $400

people expect to earn $25-$40 per hour but still pay cheap prices

this trailer was $1170 dearer then January last year.
Material increases demand cheap finance pay rises
quintrex and I’m sure other brands can’t make enough boats quick enough people are spending big on toys

what do you think a fair price to ask for the above trailer considering new is 2350 plus rego plus spare, so around 2800 new ?
2017 model with quintrex multifit and new tyre and will put 12 months rego on it
gals perfect on cross members 95 percent freshwater use
everything works just needs a wash

$1500 ?

had the new trailer delivered Friday and got the boat swapped over easy enough, just have to get the height set up.
substantial difference between the two
the new one came with the upright to suit their boat catch system and is significantly stronger then the last one of these trailers I had

will get one of their walkways after Christmas

will have to wait for Covid restrictions to ease before can sell the other one
