Blade Question

Been replacing my twin hooks on my blades. A little confused on how they should be placed.

Attached photo, is how they come but I would have thought the points facing down would be more effective.:-?

I swap out the trebles for singles on blades and soft vibes.....no change in hook up rate but much less snags.

I should have done that but I bought a box of doubles. I'll swap to singles after I've used up the doubles.

Save me getting hooked up on doubles and trebles, every time I try and release a fish.

Decided to go with the configuration that the blades came with.
