Looked at Carryboy and ARB..........

Have had two flexiglass canopies - one covering a steel dropside on a Hilux and one on a duel cab D22 Navara. They do the job. The lined interior is probably to cover the cosmetic gelcoat cracking (happened on both) and the locks on the last one were shit . Replaced once under warranty and then again with better quality ones from Bunnings that gave no more trouble. The Carryboy that an employer had on a lux seemed a better built albeit much more expensive option.

hahahaha never... Daughter and Son-in-law bought a new NP300...just need a canopy to support the dogs on the back :)
cheers
ARB. I've had 2 flexiglass canopies and they were cheap and nasty. My current ARB one just works.

^^^ What GBC said LP.
I had the same experience, albeit a few yrs ago, as did mates more recently.
Don't know the other brand you mentioned though.

I went with WOW canopies at Lawnton. Meant I had to get rid of style side and get a tray but have never regretted it. Opens on three sides at waist level so can reach anything on the tray. Dogs love the windows and I love no blind spots.

Gotta say, with integrated central locking, vents etc, the new ARB ones look damn good. Probably pricey though... https://www.arb.com.au/products/canopies-ute-lids/ascent-canopy/

Carryboy
The flexi's I had were a cheap alternative
The two carryboys I have had a far superior.

Looks like the kids have gone for a Carryboy. Colour coded and sliding side and front windows and security grills. Should be fitted in under 2 weeks, just in time for our Fraser Island trip.
The Carryboy seemed to be better finished and a few other things including the seal between styleside and canopy. Think it came in under $3500.
Thanks for everyone who contributed.. I passed on all suggestions and comments to them. :)

Dont go sliders on the side....they suck, go lift ups
change the order

Lift ups are no good if you want to run around with them open for the mutt. Sliders can also be security screened too - not that you will be sleeping in a dual cab tray - unless you can turn yourself into a pretzel

Biggest load of crock that you need sliders for dogs. Do you die with the windows up?
there is a sliding window at the front of the canopy. Let's more than enough air in.

Sometimes it has nothing to do with air. Happiest dog in world has his head out the window in the wind at 80k an hour. It stops some dogs getting car sick as well.

Not all canopies have front sliding windows.

Just use the Griswald method and save on the canopy altogether.
