Froze our asses off last night down the Nerang until about 1.30 or so chasing whiting. The council chambers was a parking lot so we gave it a wide berth and tried a couple of other spots that we hadn't fished before with the fish not being exactly enthusiastic but over the time we were there we managed to scrape together a reasonable feed. One fish at 40 cm, a few good quality 30 odd cm fish, some smaller models, couple of bream and a tarwhine. All bar 1 or 2 caught on yabbies.114597

Cheers Wayne. We normally join the melee but it seemed to be worse than normal and just didn't need the stress - possibly due to the wind making everyone go up river. Didn't see any one at the chambers with a fish hooked up on either of the occasions we motored past which is unusual for when the fish are on from what I have experienced.
