Hi, just joined your great forum as I have purchased my first ever tinnie (they really are not popular over here) and I wanted to hear first hand about them and found some threads of interest to me, also as it is a bare hull I will be finishing it myself and hopefully get some good advice and ideas from you all.

I recon fitting out a tinnie is almost as much fun as fishing out of it.

I hope so, it will be a challenge as never worked with ally before, all my previous boats have been grp.

Welcome Toomany
Hope the fitout goes well mate. Suggest you start a thread and track your progress. Would be good to see how you go and a good way to get feedback from those that start to follow your progress.

You may already know, but one thing to keep in mind is to be carful wherever you have a different metel making contact with the hull.

Yep, I have been reading up on it and looking at ways to isolate different metals (nuts, bolts screws etc)

yeah I did consider that, wasn't sure you guys would be very interested in our attempts over here though.
could certainly welcome some advice and feed back though, so may start a thread and see what interest it gets.
