St George / Charleville fishing

I'm heading out to St George and Charleville for a couple of weeks and want to know if its worth taking a rod?
What sort of tackle / lures are the best options?
Will be fishing from the bank where possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Water levels are low at the moment.

any deep hole will hold fish.

Hi Daggs, Water is dirty out this way, should be able to pick up a few yella's on bait or maybe a cod if your lucky in the better holes.
