Hi All
Anyone got any feedback on the Lowrance Auto Pilot
I have a HDS Gen2 to hook it up to and install looks user friendly & seems good value at $1300 for entry level Pilot

I have one hooked up to a Gen 2. Was extremely easy to install and setup - just need to update the software on the Gen 2.
Works well and have not had any issues. (unit has probably done 100hrs)

assuming the thing does as advertised, the only real issue will be if anything goes wrong once the unit is out of warranty. When Navico first took over Simrad, we were forced to start writing off quite expensive pilot processors, even when we could identify which PCB required replacement. For the cost of the Lowrance it possibly may not be a concern but when it was a $3500 replacement there were a few "annoyed" clients

Reading that, you need at least the Starter pack PLUS GHC20 unit, which is $USD 1600, which will take it to at least $AUD2K? ( and compatible plotter)

Don't think you need the GHC20 if you already have a compatible chart plotter
