Moreton bay macks

Left from manly this morning to target some macks in the bay. First couple of schools closer to the islands were very skittish and couldn't get any action. Headed closer to Moreton and found smaller schools but we're more active. Got 5 nice spotties with the biggest about 85cm. At times could see half a dozen fish chasing the slug and when hooked most of the school would follow the fish.
Conditions were great on the bay today.

Sounds awesome !! -- For someone who's completely new to Mack hunting, are there any pointers on things to do? -- Do the schools move around a lot, or hang around likely food places?. Have seen some youtube vids of guys hanging around beacons, (1 mile/4 beacons etc), waiting for the fish to scoot by. Or, is it more of a search and fish type thing when looking for schools? Coming back from overseas and haven't been out for weeks!!!, have itchy feet to get out and enjoy life. :) -- and maybe just - catch a feed!

The plan was to head towards Moreton and the 4 beacons and fish any schools we came across on the way.
Chase the schools but don't drive through them, hang to the sides and cast into the fish busting up. If after a few tries you don't get any interest move on to the next school. Look for birds diving into the water, normally that will mean fish are there.
Was going to have a fish with pilchards at the beacons but could only get a few smaller macks chasing the baits but no hits so didn't stay there long. But mackerel will hang around beacons, or anywhere that bait will be holding.

Thanks for the report Jackson , I went out on the Sunday to the same general area and got 8 , definitey plenty out there at the moment.
