Do other user's have trouble loading web pages on Ausfish or is only me? I have included some pics for admin to have a look at, but 6 times out of 10 the pages don't fully load when logging on. When clicking on a subject it won't open fully. I have to constantly refresh pages to make them load. I am using a desk top computer, window 7. All other web sites are running fine. I might add, the Ausfish web page has been clunky for years.

Not seeing any issues from here. Load time is around 2 seconds, and I am in Vietnam with crap internet.

I assume you are using Vocus as your ISP.

Have you tried accessing pages through any other ISP?

There was a problem with Bigpond and Cloudflare not long ago. Maybe Vocus has similar issues, but I don't know, will look further into it.

Have you spoken to your ISP about it to see if they know why they can not deliver the site?

Can you show me a traceroute to maybe see where the problem is?

Go here http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=trace&host=www.ausfish.com.au

It should look a bit like this

I think it's a feud between Chrome (Google) & Flash (Adobe) & Java (Oracle) causing it.

Anyone getting odd black rectangles appearing in Chrome or bits of the top of a website page plastered further down the page?

Trace complete

At a quick look at that traceroute posted, you need to contact your ISP and have a chat to them. You are connected to them and getting time outs doing a traceroute to them. Does not seem right.

See what they are finding. As suggested above, also try another browser and see if you are getting the same result. If so then definitely contact your ISP.

Can you do a trace on ausfish.com.au and post up what you are getting This link http://network-tools.com/default.asp?prog=trace&host=www.ausfish.com.au

This is what I get when I do a traceroute to iprimus.com.au

Here is a link to Iprimus help on the matter http://www.iprimus.com.au/support/technical-support/internet-general-home/unable-to-access-specific-websites/

Their Facebook page has a couple of people complaining about load times as well.

Maybe a phone call to them might resolve it.

I will keep checking things at this end, but so far all looks good

Video just taken of what the page is loading like for me

Mr Ausfish,

Please don't give advice where you are not an expert. They are not drop-outs. The routers that his path traverses do not have ICMP enabled, thus you get the *. No need to waste ISP support services on this. This is perfectly normal. I work at an ISP and my support staff get annoyed with these questions...

I too have got the page not loading correctly, but a reload fixes it. However I can't track down the cause for this myself. Boys and Girls, just reload the page and be done with it, this will be a hard one to track down.

As I said, "Maybe a phone call to them might resolve it." Not saying they are dropouts, just saying it looks odd. I cannot see anything here as it all looks OK from here.

I cannot find anything from this end. There is a bit of talk on Facebook and Whirlpool about customers with similar problems of late so maybe a chat to them could shed some light on it. Always worth a try to talk to the ISP and see what they can find. Link to there website provided so can try that as well. Could also be a cloudflare issue as was the case recently with Bigpond.

Your IP address and Gon Fishun's and Chrunchy's are similar so "maybe" that is why you are having the same problem?
Are you using the same ISP?

I control my end all the way to the general internet. As I said, I work at an ISP and am using my own services to get to the internet. You're going down a dud path here(please listen Steve). The Vocus issue is not related. I do not route through Vocus, I peer with cloudfare via WIAX. Calling the ISP is not going to get anywhere except annoy them. I've had the issue occur from Optus and my own internet connections, but it's not a biggie, reload, all fixed.

I can't narrow down the issues myself, it returns a 200 OK when the drama occurred. If I had to take a massive stab in the dark here, I'd point at cloudfares cache. However this is just a guess as I haven't found anything in my small amount of digging when it occurred.

Thanks for the info. Will check Cloudflare again. There was an issue with them and Bigpond not long ago and I had to turn off Cloudflare for a while, maybe a similar issue, but will also check Cloudflare Cache settings.

I am having the same issue continually.
Some days it seems really bad and others not so bad.
I havnt bothered to try a different browser yet as I just reload the page.
I did presume it was just a Chrome issue but maybe it is not now that others have this problem as well.

Now that you have moved to the light with Firefox check out the Firefox OS Phone by ZTE too.

They are under the counter at JB and for less than $100 put the other many times more expensive phones to shame

The AF site seems to work fine with my setup but I've been on Firefox for years now.

Just an update re my posts #4 and #5, It seems to have fixed itself and no more black boxes.
Probably a Chrome update or the website itself.
